Hey, everyone! Welcome to this new YA Cinema thing!
Our first event will be this Friday, August 13th at 9PM EST. I know we should probably watch something scary, it being Friday the 13th and all, but we've decided the only way to kick off YA Cinema is with Penelope.
Also, I am a wuss when it comes to scary movies.
To participate is simple:
1. Get a copy of the movie.
2. Prepare any treats you would like to have. (I'm so going Reese's Dark and pretzels.)
3. Start playing it at 9PM EST.
4. Join in the comments/ridiculousness on Twitter at #YACinema.
It's like a giant online slumber party thing! Can't go wrong with that, can you? You don't even have to go out and buy cuter jammies.
We will probably have votes for subsequent movies and times (I know 9PM EST could be a little early for our Pacific Coasters, so know that times will vary). I can't wait to see how this works out.
